Cheesesteak Review #2- Michael’s

Location: Michael’s Sandwich Shop

Order: Cheesesteak with wiz and fried onions

RJ’s review: This is a very good cheesesteak. The taste is very good, the roll is solid, and the cheese was good as well. Just enough where it was messy, but not too messy. There just enough onions and a good amount of meat. For me this is a good cheesesteak, and I would highly recommend it.

Final Grade: A

Will’s Review:

Overall a solid cheesesteak from a small, family owned place. There were good proportions as far as meat, onions and whiz. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful and I don’t have any complaints. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good cheesesteak without having to travel into Philly.

Final Grade: A-

Location: While the place is on the smaller side, it is not too small. The service is great from all the staff and they provide a nice, laid back feeling by having you pay after you have eaten.

Location Grade: A

Good News of The Day 3/22

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Sam Hinkie’s, not you Bryan Colangelo, process is alive and well. By winning their 40th game of the season last night they further solidified their status as eastern conference contender. They also proved Colin Cowherd wrong and he now has to wear a Sixers jersey on air. The Chester Doctrine has kindly offered to overnight him a jersey after he complained he could not find one in LA, lets see if you takes us up on the offer. #TrustTheProcess

Locations: Jim’s Steaks

Address: 469 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064

Order: Pepper Steak w/ Onions and Wiz

RJ’s Review:

Overall this was a decent cheesesteak for me. I enjoyed the bell peppers on the cheesesteak and made the last minute decision to get wiz on it instead of American cheese. My biggest problem that I had with it is that I did not really taste the cheese that much and the meat lacked a little bit of flavor. The roll was good, which is always important. I would say that this is a good cheesesteak, not a great one in my opinion.

Final Grade: B

Will: Overall I was disappointed in this cheesesteak. While it was not bad, it genuinely lacked flavor. The meat was okay, the whiz was either not enough or just poor quality and onions and peppers actually added little, if any, flavor. I would not say this was a bad cheesesteak, but it did not live up to the hype I had heard after living in this area for the past few years.

Final Grade: B-

Location: We both agree that the location is nice with a good dining area and the staff was friendly. If you want a nice place to take someone for a cheesesteak this would suffice. Addtionally, there are other Jim’s locations that were not a part of the grading criteria.

Location Grade: A-

Review #2

Artist: Lil Yachty

Album: Lil Boat 2

Genre: Hip Hop

Style: Trap, Pop Rap

Exactly two years prior to the release of Lil Boat 2, Lil Yachty catapulted himself into rap industry prominence with his debut mixtape Lil Boat. The mixtape albeit unorthodox was a unique take on the trap production style that has saturated the rap scene as of late. The bubblegum trap Yachty and producer TheGoodPerry created stylistically was an instant hit within the industry, and the Lil Boat mixtape helped Yachty reach new found success. This period of time earned him plenty of features and radio play directly after the release of Lil Boat. Continue reading
